- The organization has well qualified & experienced staff, technical staff for
Setting up and monitoring of Stevia Cultivation farms financed by the Bank. The
organization have employed Four Senior technical advisors (Retd. from Post of Agriculture
Officer, Govt. of Punjab) and 24 field officer who are agri. Graduates from reputed
University. These field officer visit Stevia farms twice in a month.
- The organization have well establish laboratory with latest equipments to Check
the quality of Soil & Water of the fields .
- NGO already successfully cultivated Stevia on 1250 acres of land.
- NGO have established its processing unit at Dhuri Distt. Sangrur for manufacturing
Stevia based Sugar free products.
- NGO have tie up with the New India Assurance Co. Ltd. for insurance of Stevia Cultivation
farms financed by the Bank.
- The NGO is responsible for in time payment of loan given by the Bank to the farmer.
- The NGO has proper linkages with NABARD, Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic
Plants Lucknow, Regional Research Laboratory Jammu, Punjab Agriculture University
Ludhiana, ICAR New Delhi, IARI New Delhi, National Medicinal Plants Board New Delhi,
National Horticulture Board Gurgaon, NIPER Mohali for information about latest developments
in concerned sectors.
- Around 450 Self
Help Groups are working under NGO which are producing Vermi Compost manures for
Stevia Cultivation for NGO.
- MOU with State Bank of India for Financing Stevia Cultivation
Project.
- Punjab National Bank, UTI Bank, Indian Bank have also
financed Stevia cultivation project at Branch levels without having MOU at Regional/Zonal
level.
- National Medicinal Plants Board, New Delhi appreciated
working of NGO have sanctioned grant of Rs. 5 Lakhs for extension of same activities.
- National Horticulture Board have issued Letter of Intent
for Stevia cultivation exclusively under Contract Farming of NGO.
- NGO have successfully availed subsidy of 1.15 Crore
to the Farmers under Contract Farming of Stevia from National Medicinal Plants Board,
New Delhi.
- NGO have tie up with certification agencies approved
by Agriculture Processing & Export Development Agency, Govt. of India) for getting
organic certification of Stevia Cultivation farms.
- Around 450 Self
Help Groups are working under NGO which are producing Vermi Compost manures for
Stevia Cultivation for NGO.
